The Christian and Politics: Stand Fast

The God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spoke to me: ‘He who rules over men must be just, Ruling in the fear of God. Hope for the Nations: Declare Dependence Upon God

This Independence Day I spent some time reading about the history of America and the dynamics involved in the writing of the Declaration of Independence, the Articles of Confederation and the ratification of the Constitution in 1787. The thunder and flash of cannon fire filled my imagination and dreams. I could almost catch a glimpse of the vision of independence from tyranny which the colonists had. I now find that the LORD is building upon that glimpse into the hearts and minds of the Founders and fanning the flame for freedom within my heart.
