Are You A Fearless Believer?

While there are those who scoff at the zeal of Christians willing to lay down their lives for Jesus Christ, history proves that those who have done so were full of the grace and joy of the Holy Spirit even until the very end. These men and women who counted their lives not as dear as the Gospel impacted the world for Christ in a way that will never be forgotten. J. C. McFeeters, author of “ Sketches of the Covenanters ”  writes this about those who spill their blood for the Gospel of Jesus Christ: “God has His own way of calling out His witnesses, and assigning service to them. Straw Polls and Values Voters

It seems as though the media has been inundated with the latest popularity polls and results for who may be our next president. Straw polls and their results have been headlining the national and local newspapers for weeks, and it doesn’t seem to be slowing down. Conservative Christians even held their own Values Voters forum where they questioned candidates on moral issues, and then took their own straw poll of the candidates. The delegates voting were chosen by national conservative leaders. The September 17, 2007 press release from ValuesVoters.com states: “This isn't about partisanship. It's about values. It’s not about the letter behind the name, rather it’s about the values of the heart and the policies that effect the public.” (Source: http://www.valuesvoterdebate.com/ ) My sincere hope and prayer is that the Values Voters will look beyond political party affiliation when they choose a candidate to support.
