Leaving a Legacy of Faith

Each one of us will eventually face death and while many are uncertain about what lies beyond the grave, the Christian knows for a certainty that heaven awaits them. This knowledge gives us confidence to face mortality and say, “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” (1Cor. 15:55) For we know our Lord “has abolished death and brought life and immortality to light through the gospel” (2Tim. 1:10). Scripture tells us: “He will swallow up death forever; and the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces, and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth, for the Lord has spoken.” (Isaiah 25:8) “For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes.” (Rev. 7:17) “He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

We can all be a light for Christ right where He has placed us to shine

“You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people's feet.” (Matthew 5:13, ESV) I recently read the article “George Barna: America Is Being Destroyed Inside Out ” published in the Christian Post. The article quotes George Barna, a Christian pollster and founder of a research group called the Barna Group as saying: "The enemy of America today is not Iraq. It is not Afghanistan or communism. It is not Somalian pirates. It's the moral degradation and spiritual complacency of Americans... In essence it is the willingness of Americans to become victims of the imposition of values and objectives that defy our common good.” In the same article, Mr. Barna said that “the deterioration of American society is fueled by the breakdown in leadership and core institutions such as family, government, and education.” While I agree that America is imploding d

‘Walk (and dress) in dignity as a child of the King’

Christian commentators have been abuzz with expressing their opinions of Miss USA contestant Carrie Prejean and her public statement of believing marriage is to be between one man and one woman. Some commentators have even proclaimed Miss Prejean to be a new face for conservative values and that the GOP should be courting her as a standard bearer. However, there have been a few godly voices pointing out that Miss Prejean's lack of modesty is not Biblical and perhaps she is not a good role model for Christian girls. I happen to be in this camp and pray Miss Prejean will receive wise godly counsel on Biblical womanhood and the responsibility she has to be modest and present a chaste and pure appearance as a Christian woman, which will give her words and Christian profession more credibility. Sadly, many parents and churches are not teaching young men and women how to act and dress as representatives of Christ and the seductive message their lack of clothing sends to others. Praise th

Can you smell the strong stench of death blowing across this nation?

By Angela Wittman I have been regularly witnessing at the child-killing places (also known as abortion mills) since 2001, and the strongest impression left upon me has been the stench of death and the sight of trash littered around those "gates of hell." So, when I came across pictures of the trash left by the Obama Inauguration my heart broke... A picture really is worth a thousand words and what does this one say about America and our newly elected president? Trash left on the National Mall after Barack Obama's Inauguration Please click here for a news report of President Obama ending the ban on funding for international groups that promote or provide prenatal child-killing and then tell me if you can smell the strong stench of death blowing across this nation. The book of 2Kings, chapter 21 tells us of a wicked ruler who sacrificed children and worshiped strange gods. His name was Manasseh and here is his story (please take note of God's response to the evil reign

'when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn...'

Proverbs, chapter 29 of the King James Bible tells us: “When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn...Whoso loveth wisdom rejoiceth his father: but he that keepeth company with harlots spendeth his substance... The king by judgment establisheth the land: but he that receiveth gifts overthroweth it... In the transgression of an evil man there is a snare: but the righteous doth sing and rejoice... The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it... Scornful men bring a city into a snare: but wise men turn away wrath. If a wise man contendeth with a foolish man, whether he rage or laugh, there is no rest...The bloodthirsty hate the upright: but the just seek his soul... If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked... The king that faithfully judgeth the poor, his throne shall be established for ever...When the wicked are multiplied, transgression increaseth: but the righteou

"God Trumps The State Everytime..."

An Interview with Dr. Laurence Vance, author of "Christianity and War and Other Essays Against the Warfare State" By Angela Wittman, editor of ChristianLibertyParty.com CLP Editor : First of all, please let me express my gratitude for your willingness to be interviewed for ChristianLibertyParty.com . My hope is to introduce our readers, who for the most part are Christian pro-life activists, to your work and to help them sort through the issue of what is the Biblical response to war. Dr. Vance : Thank you for contacting me and giving me the opportunity. Ed.: Please tell us when you first began researching the military and war from a Christian worldview and what prompted you to do this? Dr. Vance: I really began researching war and the military from a Christian worldview in the mid 1990s after I came across some articles on war in an old Baptist theological journal published before the so-called Civil War. Previous to this, there were two things that had caused me to quest

Thank You

Dear Friends, I am amazed at the changes taking place in my family and even within my own heart/attitude. The LORD is truly showing Himself to be kind and merciful in the Wittman household. If you have been praying for me and my family, I want to say “thank you.” Since I left the Constitution Party in early 2005, I have been going through a time of spiritual growth which has had its ups and downs. The best way to describe it is as a “wall” was blocking my view and sometimes I felt quite alone and in the dark. I always knew the LORD was with me, but I was not seeing quite as clearly (or hearing quite as plainly) as when I was a new believer. Yet, I also knew that the LORD was taking me through a time of growth. As a new believer, this thought would periodically come to me: “You can serve God and praise Him in good times, but what will you do when hard times come?” I would then think: “LORD willing, I will still praise His Name as He is my strength... Lord, please make me able to stand i
