Just whose fault is it anyway?

by Angela Wittman ...Nehemiah cared nothing for the applause of men and was totally unwilling to compromise the mission he had undertaken for God. The paganism Nehemiah feared was not the paganism of the pagans; it was the paganism of his own people. (Confronting Paganism, In The Presence of God by R.C. Sproul) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer. Psalm 19:14 Dear Friends, Since becoming a Christian twelve years ago, I have been aware of a serious illness plaguing the Church. At first I did not know what to do about it or if I should even say anything, as I was such an ignorant new convert. Who was I to question the church leaders and/or their wives? You can imagine my feelings of intimidation, as they would recite Scripture from memory and sing hymns without even looking at their hymnals. On the other hand, I could not recite the books of the Old or New Testament, much less entire p

Saving 'these little ones' in St. Louis

Street Report: St. Louis, Mo. 2.12.05 Dear Friends for LIFE, Praise the LORD for the opportunity to share this street report about the abortion mill [Planned Parenthood] located on Forest Park and Boyle Avenues in St. Louis, Missouri. I am blessed to share this time in service to the LORD with you. At this baby killing facility there are iron bars around the perimeter of the building and parking lot. They try to prevent the customers from hearing and seeing the truth about what goes on inside the building; but the LORD is good and we have access to those pulling in the parking lot, as there is only one point of entry. Lovely Anne, who has been on the streets witnessing against abortion since 1986, greets the potential Planned Parenthood clientele with fresh cut flowers and an armful of Gospel tracts, abortion facts and New Testaments. We also have several saints who hold the graphic aborted baby signs while others stand and pray or distribute literature to those driving down the s

Is it really 'All or Nothing'? ABSOLUTELY!

Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. (Matthew 16:24, 25 KJV) Dear Friends, Have you made a radical commitment to Christ? Are you determined to deny yourself, take up your cross and follow Jesus? Have you lost your life for His sake and, as a consequence, found new life in Him? I pray you have as none of us can resist or escape the call of the LORD upon our lives. Just as there is no compromise or exception when following Jesus, there can be no compromising or exceptions to abolish the murder of babies in the womb. We may win a few battles incrementally, but to win the war being waged against the preborn babies, we must outlaw all murder via abortion. Regulation of abortion is not the solution and it will not save the lives of these little ones. A friend recently asked me to read about Eli

Seeing Through Eyes of Faith

by Angela Wittman "Be of good cheer, Master Ridley, and play the man, for we shall this day light such a candle in England as I trust by God's grace shall never be put out." (Bishop Hugh Latimer's last words before he was burned at the stake for his faith on October 16, 1555.) And what shall I more say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions. Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens...And others had trial of cruel mockings and scourgings, yea, moreover of bonds and imprisonment: They were stoned, they were sawn asunder, were tempted, were slain with the sword: they wandered about in sheepskins and goatskins; being destitute, afflicted, tormented;

'The LORD Liveth'

By Angela Wittman The LORD liveth; and blessed be my rock; and let the God of my salvation be exalted. (Psalm 18:46, KJV) Dear Friends, Please share in my joy as I give praise to the God of my salvation and declare to all that 'the LORD liveth' and He does indeed bless those who trust in Him. This praise report is written as a thank you to all the saints who stand in the gap and witness against abortion at the child murder centers in their communities. Please know you are making a difference and you are much loved by our Father in Heaven and this sister in Christ Jesus. May God bless you and cause His face to continually shine upon you for your faithfulness. December 4, 2004 Yesterday at Planned Parenthood in St. Louis, Missouri, we had a mom and dad to leave the mill and as they were pulling out of the parking lot, the mom shouted, "I didn't do it!" She was smiling and waving at us. Then right before we were getting ready to pray as a group and leave for the da

Abiding in Christ

By Angela Wittman Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. (2 Timothy 3:12) Dear Friends, The recent arrest of a group of Christians here in America has compelled me to write to the Church in America about abiding in Christ and the inevitable persecution this will bring. The recent persecution I am referring to is the arrest of eleven Christians, which took place in the city of "brotherly love" commonly known as Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The group of Christians had gone to the annual homosexual event called "Outfest" (which covers a 15-block downtown area) to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The engagement of our culture as modeled by the Repent America group in Philadelphia is what we all are called to do, if we are true disciples of Jesus Christ. Here is an excerpt of the November 15, 2004 press release, Preliminary Hearing Set for Christians Charged with Hate Crimes as released by Repent America: They [the Repent America gro

Keeping Score?

By Angela Wittman "If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father's commandments and abide in his love." (John 15:10 ESV) Dear Friends, Scripture tells us that if we keep God's commandments, we will abide in His love. I think this truth not only applies to individual Christians, but to nations and their leaders as well. It is the intent of this essay to prompt the reader to examine not only their personal walk with the LORD, but to also examine our newly elected president's walk with the LORD (or lack of a walk with Him.) In this essay, I want to take a look at the Scriptural qualifications we are to use when choosing a civil leader. We can then see if we have chosen a man to lead our country with spiritual qualifications that are in accordance with God's Word: Moreover thou shalt provide out of all the people able men, such as fear God, men of truth, hating covetousness; and place such over them, to be rulers of thous
